Post graduate College Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand) is a partnered school of Kumaon University Nainital.
It is the school which is being created as model school by the Government of Uttarakhand, and is among the 70 Government Colleges in Uttarkhand.
It is the main school of Kumaon area which has been recently licensed as B++ by NAAC
History.
With the vision to reinforce the base of advanced education in far off region Pithoragarh, Uttar Pradesh Government set up this school in the year 1963.
At first the College was begun with seven subjects of college classes in expressions stream.
In a limited ability to focus time, receptive to the necessities and requests of the nearby individuals, concentrates in science and business streams upto undergrad level were likewise begun.
This was before long followed by the setting up of schooling personnel and upgradation of the current streams to the postgraduate level in 1971.
