With the favors of Late Yashvantraoji Chavan and set up by Government of Maharashtra, to give the specialized instruction in country region, Government College of Pharmacy is situated on a wonderful rambling grounds of an eight sections of land close to the bank of Krishna-Koyana stream at Karad.
Being the principal Government Institution in Maharashtra, it has consistently encountered a recognized character among different universities.
Associated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur, the school is affirmed by All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education, Maharshtra State, Mumbai.
Directly from the initiation with the foundation of minuscule office in the Government College of Engineering, Karad in 1964 to offer recognition course in Pharmacy, the school changed into the post alumni research organization in drug store in 1995 with a free presence.
At present, the school is offering four courses in drug store including Ph.
D program.
