Subsidiary to the University of Mumbai, the school has been named in the memory of Late Seth Ghanshyamdas Saraf – father of Shri Mahavirprasad G Saraf.

In the year 1997, an open five-celebrated school building was developed in similar premises with numerous advanced offices and was initiated on third July 1997 by His Excellency dr. P C Alexander, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra.
In June 2008, an extra floor was worked to make it a six-story structure.
