Furkating College was set up on sixth August 1981 speaking to the mass populated territory of the Assam-Nagaland Border of Golaghat region, Assam.

The College began working under the administration of the Governing Body’s author President Late Mohen Baruah, originator Secretary mr. Dugdha Dutta and author Principal Late Firdus Ali Ahmed. The College was begun at Furkating High School from 22/06/1981 and later it was moved to its own structure in a territory of around 9 Acres of land at the Tirual Grazing ground which was liberally given by the nearby individuals.
