School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner Rajasthan is set up in the year 1954 as Private Educational Institute to give advanced education to manufacture profession in the field of Veterinary Science.

The executives of College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner is working under dr. A K Gahlot (Vice Chancellor).
The College of Veterinary and Animal Science was begun in 1954, at Bikaner, the core of the Great Thar Desert, keeping in view the significance of domesticated animals in the provincial economy of the state as a rule and this territory specifically.
It was begun as the public authority school and named as the Rajasthan Veterinary College.
Later on, it turned into a piece of the personnel of Medicine and Veterinary of the Rajasthan University, Jaipur.
Before long, in 1962, a different Rajasthan Agriculture University was begun and the school turned into the piece of the staff of this college.
Before long, in 1964, the University of Udaipur was set up and the school alongside the wing of Agriculture and partnered sciences got associated with it.
This college was renamed as Mohan Lai Sukhadia University and afterward Sukhadia University.
The Rajasthan Agricultural University (RAU), once in the past a piece of the Sukhadia University, Udaipur, turned into a different substance on Ist of August 1987 due to declaration of an (Ordinance No.
13 of 1987) by the Government of Rajasthan, which was later instituted by an Act of Rajasthan State Legislation (Act No.
39 of 1987).
RAU has been renamed as Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner (SKRAU, Bikaner) vide Gazette notice No.
F 4 (2) vidhi/2/2009 dated June 09, 2009.
In May 2010, it turns into the piece of The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner which was set up under subsection (3) of area 1 of the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Act, 2010 under the Vice-Chancellorship of Prof.A K Gahlot.
