Focal Institute of Tool Design(CITD) set up in 1968 by the Govt.
of India with the help of UNDP and ILO, is a poineering Institution in the field of Tool Engineering in the Country.
The Institute was at first settled as a United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Project and was executed by International Labor Organization (ILO).
The Precision hardware and gear was given by UNDP and the personnel were prepared abroad in the zone of Tool Engineering.
The UNDP Experts remained at CITD for around 5 years and prepared officials, personnel and staff of CITD in assembling and plan of tooling.
The principle goals of the establishment are: Preparing of the specialized work force in Designing and Manufacture of Tools, Dies and Molds.
Plan and Manufacture of bites the dust, dances, installations and guages, and so forth Arrangement of warning administrations to Small Scale Units remembering help for plan and creating devices for different cycles.
Prescribing measures to normalize parts for passes on, dances and different apparatuses.
