Anugrah Narayan Sinha Ji was set up on eighteenth June, 1964 with a sound vision to confer advanced education to the researchers of the Magadh range specifically and unified Bihar all in all and make scholarly people and academicians of tomorrow.
In the year 1980, it turned into a constituent unit of Magadh University,the biggest college of the state.
