Chebrolu Hanumaiah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CHIPS) was set up in the year 2005 on the name of its general public, Nagarjuna Education Society Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NESIPS), as the seventh establishment under the charitable association of Nagarjuna Education Society (NES).
In the wake of getting endorsement from AICTE to begin B Pharmacy course for an admission of 60 seats, NESIPS ceremoniously began its first bunch class deal with 27th November, 2005 at the premises of its parent (sister) association, J K C School, where the underlying working of organization occurred. On seventh December, 2005, the then Vice Chancellor of Acharya NagarjunaUniversity, Prof.Balamohan Das, initiated the recently manufactured drug store block at J K C College grounds.
