The Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, appeared in 2009 under the Central Universities Act 2009 (Parliament Act No.
25 of 2009).
The University is established on the respectable vision of a ‘mindful intelligence’ and is guided by the grand beliefs of scholarly and social responsibility, moral faithfulness and scholarly and otherworldly illumination, as reflected in its vision proclamation.

, School of Biological Sciences, School of Earth Science Systems, School of Economics, School of Education, School of Global Studies, School of Languages and Comparative Literature, School of Legal Studies, School Physical Sciences, School of Social Sciences, School of Medicine and Public wellbeing and School of Cultural examinations.
The perpetual grounds of the University (Tejaswini Hills) is situated at Periye, Kasaragod on the 310 sections of land of land designated by the Govt.
of Kerala in 2012.
The University moved its Administrative wing alongside the Departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, International Relations and Politics, MSW and Economics and a part of the library into the two semi-lasting uni-floor structures developed on the perpetual grounds in 2014.
The leftover Departments are presently working on two travel grounds – the Riverside grounds at Padannakkad and the Vidyangar grounds.
The University likewise opened two Centers, the Capital Center at Thiruvananthapuram, offering an Integrated BA-MA Program in International Relations and the Law Campus at Thiruvalla.
The main Vice-Chancellor of the University, dr.
