Dhanamanjuri College of Teacher Education, Imphal Manipur is set up in the year 1980 as Public Educational Institute to give advanced education to construct profession in the field of Teaching.

As being the just one of its sort so far set up in the public authority area, the recent Post Graduate Training College got alliance to Gauhati University since its beginning till 1980.
That was in the year 1980 when Post Graduate Training College was partnered to Manipur University with its foundation in the very year.
From that point forward, the school stayed a constituent school of Manipur University.
As being one of only a handful few best B Ed. Universities in India, the Post Graduate Training College got NCTEacknowledgment.
Therefore, this foundation was moved up to the degree of school of Teacher Education (CTE) and renamed as Dhanamanjuri College of Teacher Education on 17th January, 1997.
Considering the Government of India, MHRD , Dept. of School Edn.
Furthermore, Literacy suggestions (Restructuring and Reorganization of the Centrally supported plans on Teacher Education : Guidelines for usage June, 2012) the school is being propose for up gradation into undeniable Institute of Advanced Studies in Education.
