Central Agricultural University, Imphal ::[CAU]

The Central Agricultural University has been set up by a demonstration of Parliament, the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992 (No.
40 of 1992).
The Act became effective on 26th January, 1993 with the issue of notice by the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Govt.
of India.
The University got practical with the joining of first Vice-Chancellor on thirteenth September, 1993.
The ward of the University stretches out to seven North-Eastern Hill States viz.
, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland and Tripura, with central command at Imphal in Manipur.
Like other Agricultural Universities, Central Agricultural University, Imphal has coordinated projects of instructing, exploration and expansion training.
To satisfy the mission, the college has define the accompanying objectives for itself: ⇛ To create all around the world serious alumni and postgraduates in agribusiness and associated sciences; ⇛ To create supportable and beneficial cultivating framework for improving efficiency, creation and productivity in the agribusiness and unified areas; ⇛ To teach the expansion functionaries for compelling spread of agro advances to the ranchers, business people and agro ventures; and ⇛ To be a significant connection in the chain for changing over agribusiness and associated occupations into productive undertakings and giving food and healthful security to the individuals of NE Region, and the world.
